Magnetic, magnetocaloric and critical behavior study of La0.78Pb0.22MnO3 manganite near room-temperature

LPMO compound was prepared by solid state reaction method that crystallizes in the orthorhombic structure with RView the MathML sourcec space group.

Prepared sample exhibits a Curie temperature at 292 K and a large magnetic entropy change of 4.31 J/kg K was determined.

The critical behaviors and scaling relation for LPMO have also been investigated by modified Arrott plot, Kouvel-Fisher method, and critical isotherm analysis.

The deduced values of critical exponents α, β and γ are found to be closed to those predicted by the tricritical mean-field model.
