In the paper we study properties of positive solutions for the third-order neutral differential equations of the form where z(t)=y(t)+p(t)y(τ(t))$z\left(t\right)=y\left(t\right)+p\left(t\right)y\left(\tau \left(t\right)\right)$. The lower and upper estimates of positive decreasing solutions of studied equations are provided that yield the rate of convergence to zero for such solutions.
