Intraoperative infusion of remifentanil increases ROS level and phosphorylation of NMDA receptor subunits in spinal dorsal horn.

Systemic pretreatment with ROS scavenger inhibits remifentanil-induced postoperative mechanical and thermal hyperalgesia.

Systemic pretreatment with ROS scavenger attenuates the phosphorylation of spinal NR1 and NR2B induced intraoperative infusion of remifentanil.
