Marine medaka were exposed chronically to low-doses of DIM. Toxicogenomic responses of gonads were profiled at transcript and protein levels. Molecular initiating events were linked to adverse apical outcomes. VTG mobilization was blocked by lower abundance of cathepsin enzyme in ovary. Eggshell proteins were more indicative of reproductive failure than VTG.
