Ethylene, the simplest gaseous PGRs, controls physiological pathways in rice. The internal concentration of ethylene is rapidly regulated under various stresses. The AP2/ERFs supergene family is involved in various plant development processes in rice. Interactions between the ethylene and AP2/ERF may enhance rice adaptation to stress.
