The determination of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) using magnetoliposomes (MLs) is described. MLs containing cresyl violet are concentrated in a flow system using an electromagnet. Long wavelength fluorometry is used as detection system of the method. The detection limit is about 70-times lower than that obtained using LC-UV. Food samples have been analyzed by the new method and the results compared by LC-UV.
