Ecological differences influence the thermal sensitivity of swimming performance in two co-occurring mysid shrimp species with climate change implications

文摘
Thermal tolerance and swimming performance sensitivity was tested in mysid shrimp. Two co-occurring species differ in ecological and behavioral traits. Higher performance sensitivity was found in the vertically migrating species. Temporal scales of temperature variation experienced contributes to the shape of swimming performance curves. Both species have a buffer between current summer maximum water temperature and expected ocean warming.
