A novel peptidic TrkB agonist was identified by direct agonistic phage screening. The peptide had no sequence similarity to BDNF. The peptide bound to TrkB-Fc with high affinity (binding EC50 = 0.45 nM). The peptide dimer induced the homodimerization and activation of TrkB.
