d-Psicose, a C-3 epimer of d-fructose, has anti-adipogenic activity. d-Psicose regulates 103 genes mostly involved in inflammation and lipid metabolism. d-Psicose inhibits adipo/lipogenesis and accelerates β-oxidation. Fos, Mmp3, Fgf21, and Abcd2 are key target genes of d-psicose.
