CSs/CdS nanocomposites were facile synthesized by a simple co-precipitation combined ageing method. CSs/CdS nanocomposites show superior photocatalytic performance towards hydrogen production than pure CdS under visible light irradiation. The possible photocatalytic mechanism of the CSs/CdS nanocomposites was proposed.
