Influence of pH on dynamics of microbial enhanced oil recovery processes using biosurfactant producing Pseudomonas putida: Mathematical modelling and numerical simulation

Using P. putida, the influence of pH on MEOR processes was modelled and analysed. By reversing the reservoir pH towards pH 8 condition, the oil flow and Ed increases. As pH is reversed, IFTmin/IFTmax values are lowered which enhances the oil recovery. At low alkalinity of pH 8, more oil is recovered due to lesser IFTmin/IFTmax value. Oil recovery increases by reversing reservoir to pH having low IFTmin/IFTmax value.
