Poly(4-vinylphenol) (PVP) sensitizes TiO2 for working under visible light. Visible light photocatalysis was induced by ligand to metal charge transfer on PVP/TiO2. Photo-generated electrons injected from HOMO of PVP to conduction band of TiO2.. Main advantages of PVP sensitizer are low-cost, stable, efficient and rapid complexation.
