PET bottle was recycled and used as polymer matrix. Conjugated MWCNTs with ZnO QDs were incorporated into the PET matrix. rPET/MWCNT-ZnO QD composite have good potential to remove Cd2+ from water. Pure PET showed transition from electrically insulative to conductive.
