A review on emerging PV-CSP hybrid solar power technologies is presented. The non-compact and compact (PV-topping and SBS) hybridization approaches are reviewed. Technical challenges and progresses for compact PV-CSP hybrid systems are discussed. Recent research status and system performance characteristics are analysed. Advantages, prospects and constraints of the PV-CSP hybrid technology are discussed.
