Optimization of ionic liquid-based homogenate extraction of orientin and vitexin from the flowers of Trollius chinensis and its application on a pilot scale
Ionic liquid-based homogenate extraction was firstly developed and applied. We used photograph and percentage of various particle sizes to explain the process. A pilot-scale homogenate equipment was designed to validate the developed method. The proposed method provided higher yield in a greatly shorter processing time. Separation of the orientin and vitexin, and recycling of [C4mim]BF4 were realized.
