Using maximum entropy, Gamma, Inverse Gaussian and Weibull approach for prediction of drop size distribution in a liquid-liquid extraction column

Mean drop size and size distribution is measured in a Kühni extraction column. The maximum entropy principle is used to predict the drop size distributions. Gamma, Inverse Gaussian, Weibull functions were used for drop size distributions. Empirical correlations are proposed to predict Sauter mean drop size.
