Mechanism-dependent on the different CeO2 supports of phosphotungstic acid modification CeO2 catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3

Mechanism of phosphotungstic acid modification CeO2 (P-W/CeO2) was investigated. Effect of different CeO2 supports on the mechanism of P-W/CeO2 was explored. Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism and Eley–Rideal mechanism existed over P-W/CeO2. Bidentate nitrate reacted with NH4+ and formed the NO2, N2 and H2O over P-W/CeO2. NH3-adsorbed reacted with adsorbed NO2 and gaseous NO to generate N2 and H2O.
