A novel dazzling red emission is observed from TiO2 NPs + Gd3+ + Eu3+: PVA polymer nanocomposites under UV excitation. Upon co-doping with Gd3+ to the Eu3+: PVA polymer film, it exhibits enriched red emission. Due to addition of TiO2 NPs to Gd3+ + Eu3+: PVA polymer films, the PL properties are remarkably enhanced. The red emission of Eu3+ is significantly enhanced by an ETP from Gd3+ to Eu3+ ions and TiO2 NPs to Eu3+ ions. These polymer nanocomposites could be suggested as promising materials for red luminescent optical materials.
