A new system for single-crystal growth of large-lattice-parameter perovskites is discovered. This system is a solid solution system with the pseudocubic lattice parameter 4.05–4.18 Å. For the first time large single crystals of this lattice parameter region are grown. They enable the epitaxy of new high quality thin films of promising materials.
