CuO/OMS-2 nanocomposite with the optimum Cu/Mn molar ratio is prepared. The nanocomposite exhibits excellent catalytic performance for NO reduction by CO. We reveal the active catalytic phases of nano Mn3O4 and metallic Cu in the nanocomposite. We find a synergetic effect between the active phases to significantly improve N2 yield.
