Cellulose nanofibril was manufactured from low −value agricultural residues such as bagasse. The effect of nanopaper production approach on the orientation of fibril in the nanopaper structure was assessed. Oriented Cellulose Paper Nanofiber (OCPN) had higher crystallinity, superior tensile and tear indices, compared to nanopapers produced by Dispersion Casting (DC). These unique characteristics of the OCNP are promising for potential applications in food packaging.
