A series of indolizinoquinolinedione derivatives was synthesized. Antibacterial activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated. Solubility of the active compounds in water was determined. Compound 28 showed potent anti-MRSA with MIC50 and MIC90 at nanomolar range. Compound 27 had strong anti-MRSA activity with good water solubility.
