A La(OTf)3 catalyzed synthesis of tetrasubstituted pyrroles under microwave irradiation has been developed. Reaction undergoes through condensation/alkyne azacyclization/isomerization sequence. Functionalized α-aryl pentasubstituted pyrroles could be prepared easily.
