Mesoporous zeolites in pure-silica form were synthesized at pH∼7 in the presence of F−. Transition metal atoms (e.g. ,Al,Sn,Ti) can be incorporated into the beta framework. Mesopore are highly uniform and tailored according to the surfactant tail length. The resultant zeolites exhibit enhanced thermal stability and acid strength.
