NH2-MCM-41 sorbents showed high efficiency for aqueous Cr(VI) elimination at pH 2. NH2-functionalized MCM-41 is able to reduce Cr(VI) into less toxic Cr(III) species. Decreasing MCM-41 particle size minimize the APTES pores blockage.
