We use a PFT approach employing 26 herbaceous to arboreal classes and an aquatic class PFT spectra confirm Oligo/Miocene Turgai type vegetation in Central Eurasia L. Pliocene/E. Pleistocene PFT spectra indicate open vegetation and a dry season E. Pleistocene spectra of C. Eurasia still have a considerable arboreal diversity Latitudinal temperature gradients for C. Eurasia are quantified for 3 time slices
