386 wood taxonomical data are compiled at generic level for the Jurassic of Europe. There is a latitudinal distribution pattern for at least 6 genera. Genera with southern versus northern affinities are recognized. Their distribution oscillated during the Jurassic. Northern genera reached mid-latitudes during supposedly the wettest intervals.
