We report the tectonic features of the active strike-slip Selaha Fault. The Selaha Fault is characterized by left-lateral strike-slip faulting. The horizontal slip-rate in the Holocene is estimated to be up to ~ 9 mm/year. The average recurrence interval of large earthquakes is inferred to be ~ 450 years. The most recent event corresponds to the 1786 M 7.75 earthquake.
