Predictive modeling and multi-response optimization of technological parameters in turning of Polyoxymethylene polymer (POM C) using RSM and desirability function

We use the RSM to analyze the effect of machining parameters on Ra, Fz, Pc and MRR. The results revealed that Ra is strongly influenced by f followed by ap. Regarding Fz, it is found that ap and f are the most significant terms. The ANOVA results were confirmed by the Pareto chart and the 3D response surface. RSM allowed the optimization of cutting conditions for minimal Ra and maximal MRR.
