In this paper we study the wavelet collocation method for solving the Pennes bioheat transfer equation which models the thermal behavior of living tissue. The wavelet collocation method is used to approximate the space operator and the finite difference method is applied for time discretization. Compactly supported wavelets of Daubechies are used to conduct a multiresolution analysis (MRA). Numerical results show that the proposed method is effective. The absolute error for this method is reported.
