Deleterious effects of MC-LR/CYN on agricultural plants are concentration-dependent. Toxic effects of MC-LR and CYN at ecological conditions are scarce. The bioaccumulation of MC-LR/CYN in vegetables is time- and concentration-dependent. The persistence of MC-LR/CYN on soil systems can result in groundwater contamination. A realistic assessment of the impact of MC-LR/CYN on agricultural plants was made.
