Rare earths (La, Ce, Nd) and rare metals (Sn, Nb, W) as by-products of kaolin production - Part 2: Gravity processing of micaceous residues
文摘
A kaolin residue has been treated by gravity concentration for metal recovery. Low wash water and pulp density favour heavy minerals (HM) recovery with the spiral. 70% of the LREE are recovered after one spiral pass and up to 80% HM after 4 passes. Up to 98.5% HM grade is obtained treating spiral concentrate with a shaking table. The residue being depleted in rare metals, only LREE are concentrated at up to 1.6%.
