A series of rGO/α-Fe2O3 composites were successfully synthesized and characterized through multiple techniques. The gas sensor based on 1.0 wt% rGO/α-Fe2O3 composite exhibited enhanced response towards acetone in comparison to pure α-Fe2O3 and its response time was shortened to 2 s. A reasonable gas-sensing mechanism was proposed to explain the experimental results.
