Earthquake SSR fails due to poor signal to noise ratio. Clearer image of site effects is obtained using earthquake data HVSR. Soil structure with significant shear-wave velocity contrasts, traps the Rayleigh wave generated by the local noise sources. The results stress the unreliability of single method measurements to investigate site effects at difficult sites. The comparison of the different results allowed to understand the differences among them. Average is not useful.
