One-part geopolymer was synthesized through calcining bentonite with less alkali. One-part geopolymers could gain fine strength and be quite water-resistant. Na2CO3 seems more effective to fabricate one-part geopolymer than NaOH. Ferric oxide and calcium oxide have potential to enhance geopolymerization.
