Free CaO contents in electric furnace oxidizing and reducing slags were evaluated. Ethylene glycol method has been used for the evaluation. Free CaO decreases with the increase in the aging period. Free CaO content is <0.5% in all the oxidizing slag samples. EOS is suitable for use in construction applications due to low free CaO content.
