Simulation of nonlinear optical and self-focusing effects in AlGaN/GaN spherical quantum dot

In this theoretical article we are going to study effect of quantum well width, quantum dot size and mole fraction of Al for nonlinear refractive index and self-focusing effects in a new nanostructure AlGaN/GaN spherical quantum dot. The Schrodinger equation in spherical coordinate system was solved and wave functions, third order susceptibility, nonlinear refractive index and distance of self-focusing obtained. The results show that new nanostructure has interest property for self-focusing phenomenon.
