DNA methyltransferase activity detection based on graphene quantum dots using fluorescence and fluorescence anisotropy

GQDs has been developed as a fluorescence probe for M.SssI MTase activity assay. Detection of MTase activity is also investigated by fluorescence anisotropy. The method shows acceptable selectivity and could detect target in real biological matrix. The detection limit of this assay is 0.7 U/ml. The method is low cost and easy prepare and can be used to detect other MTase activity by changing DNA sequences.
