The profile of RBSDV-derived small RNAs in infected maize plants was characterized. RBSDV infection regulated the expression levels of ZmDCLs, ZmRDR6 and several ZmAGOs. To our knowledge, this is the first report on vsiRNAs in a reovirid-infected plant.
