Camelids are an important target species for Rift Valley fever virus vaccination. The tolerability of the MP-12 vaccine was demonstrated for alpacas. The MP-12 vaccine was highly immunogenic as indicated by serological analyses. Remaining pathogenicity needs to be considered for future applications.
