Protein kinase A (PKA) activator dibutyryl-cAMP can induce HIV-1 reactivation. Dibutyryl-cAMP can induce the phosphorylation of CREB and ATF-1. Combined treatment of dibutyryl-cAMP and vorinostat showed a synergistic effect. Combined treatment of those might be a promising strategy for HIV-1 reactivation.
