TFA had protective effects against FCA-induced arthritis in rats. TFA inhibited serum TNF-α, IL-1β, PGE2 production of rats induced by FCA. TFA decreased serum RANKL, and promoted OPG production and OPG/RANKL ratio in FCA-induced arthritic rats. TFA inhibited NF-κB p65 expression in synovial tissues of rats induced by FCA.
