Effects of Epigallocatechin Gallate, an Antibacterial Cross-linking Agent, on Proliferation and Differentiation of Human Dental Pulp Cells Cultured in Collagen Scaffolds

Collagen scaffolds should be cross-linked to enhance their physical properties. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is used as a cross-linking agent and has an antibacterial effect. EGCG enhances the mechanical properties of collagen scaffold. EGCG promotes the proliferation and differentiation of hDPCs in collagen scaffolds. Cross-linking of collagen with EGCG is advantageous for regenerative endodontics.
