Data of a large number MS patients showed high prevalence of depression and anxiety. Prevalence of depressive or anxiety symptoms was elevated compared with disorders. Prevalence rates varied considerably between included studies It is important to agree on patient recruitment and definition of depression/anxiety. To improve prevalence estimates we should focus on specific patient characteristics.
