LAMP3 gene is significantly upregulated in dendritic cell during the differentiation. Vitamin D3 modulates the expression of LAMP3 during the differentiation and maturation of dendritic cells. Vitamin D3 reduces the LAMP3 mRNA and the protein expression during the differentiation and maturation of dendritic cells via NFκB pathways. Vitamin D3 could enhance the tolerogenic characteristic of dendritic cells.
