Self-activating Sr2−pApLiSiO4−αF1−δ phosphors were prepared. Intense blue and green emitting phosphors were obtained. Effective sensitization with high-energy transfers was exploited. Combination of the transition of Sm3+ and a defect induction were analyzed.
