The microstructure of lime-treated compacted soil depends on soil aggregate size. Crystallized CSH are present in lime treated with large aggregates. CSH gels or nano-crystallized CSH are present in small aggregate-lime mixture. The nano-pores increase is linked to the appearance of large crystallized CSH.
