Material transfer behavior of AgTiB2 and AgSnO2 electrical contact materials under different currents

The effect of characteristics of strengthening phase on material transfer of Ag base contact materials is disclosed. The material transfer mode of AgTiB2 contact material depends on current and TiB2 particle size. AgSnO2 contact material always presents the material transfer mode from cathode to anode. AgTiB2 contact material has larger mass loss and lower relative transfer mass in comparison with AgSnO2 contact material. Fine strengthening particles are beneficial for less mass loss and relative transfer mass.
