Hydrogenation effect on uniaxial magnetic anisotropy of a CoxPd1−pan style='font-style: italic'>x alloy microstructure

A transition from partial crystalline in bottom layer to well-ordered crystalline in top layer. More Pd content promotes the MAE of CoPd alloy film toward the perpendicular direction. By oblique deposition with grid mask, 1-d CoPd structure shows uniaxial magnetic anisotropy. Hydrogenation effect on the magnetism of 1-d structured film is pronounced. Demonstrated reversibility of hydrogenation effect on the uniaxial magnetic anisotropy.
