Hydrothermal synthesis of Bi4Ge3O12: Eu3+ phosphors with high thermal stability and enhanced photoluminescence property

Eu3+-activated Bi4Ge3O12 red phosphors were synthesized by a simple method. The growth process of the phosphor was recorded by SEM. The phosphors had good thermal stability from room temperature to 498 K. This phosphor matched well with the output wavelength of commercial near-UV LED chips and blue LED chips.
